The Michelin 'Double Rivet' belongs to the first generation of cross-ply tyres and has an absolutely ground-breaking tread pattern. It benefits from two pioneering innovations:
The characteristic tread pattern of the 'Double Rivet' is reminiscent of double rivets and was also used on the Michelin bead-core tyres introduced in 1925. The tread pattern is offered on 14 sizes of the Michelin Collection and can be used for the tyres of numerous pre-war vehicles!
The materials used today for these tyres are, of course, state of the art. Air pressures and load capacity can be found in the current technical documentation.
