For much of its existence Maserati has remained in the shadow of Ferrari, its near neighbor in Modena, Italy. The 3500 series, 5000GT, Quattroporte, Ghibli and Indy, Bora and Merak, Khamsin, Quattroporte II and III, and Kyalami - a glorious bloodline that lasted from the 1950s to the 1980s. The Biturbo that followed saw a downturn in Maserati's fortunes, but a modern revival is well and truly underway.
