Jaguar XK (2005-2014): X150
The Jaguar XK (X150) is a luxurious sports car that was produced from 2005 to 2014 and succeeded the Jaguar XK8. With its lightweight aluminum body, it set technical benchmarks in the premium segment. The design came from Ian Callum, Jaguar¡¯s design director at the time, who gave the car a striking blend of elegance and sportiness.
Beneath the long hood beat powerful V8 hearts. Initially, a 3.5- and a 4.2-liter engine were available. From 2008 onwards, these units were replaced by a modern 5.0-liter V8, which offered even more performance and efficiency. The XK was available both as an elegant coup¨¦ and as an open convertible, appealing to a wide range of customers.
Over its entire production run, 56,415 vehicles were built, making the XK an important part of Jaguar¡¯s modern history. In addition to the standard models, Jaguar also introduced exclusive special editions: the XKR-75 for the brand¡¯s 75th anniversary, the particularly powerful XKR-S, and the extremely rare XKR-S GT, of which only 45 units were produced.
Today, the Jaguar XK (X150) is considered a modern classic that carried the brand into the 21st century with a successful combination of British elegance, innovative technology, and sporty dynamics.
