The brake fluid reservoir supplied is only suitable for horizontal installation. Depending on the version, the brake master brake cylinder is installed in the vehicle at an angle of approx. 25 degrees from the horizontal. The fluid reservoir must be mounted on the brake master cylinder with the filler inlet facing forwards. When used on a brake master brake cylinder installed at an angle, the fill level markings on the reservoir are not applicable.
When installed at an angle, the fill level must always be at least high enough for the front inlet in the cylinder is covered with brake fluid.
