? E test mark
The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) awards the 'E' test mark. This is a country code that must be specified in accordance with ECE Directive 43. When looking at the disc stamp, you will see a circle and the letter ¡®E¡¯ as well as the country code. These are issued by the approval.
An ECE approval number is mandatory for every windscreen produced and is allocated to the original manufacturer in accordance with ECE Regulation No. 43. This approval number is used to search for regulations and provisions and to view the specifications contained therein. This allows the nominal thickness, material type and existing electrical conductors (e.g. aerials) to be determined.
