Fuel pump
Triumph: Spitfire MK4 from chassis no. FH50001 and FM1, Spitfire 1500 to engine no. FM93157
Sprite / Midget: Midget 1500 to engine no. FP50967
with straight lever, push-on connections and approx. 48 mm distance from lever to support - this pump is fitted directly to the engine without a spacer block
There are two different fuel pumps for the Spitfire 1500 and Midget 1500.
Early pumps have a so-called straigth pump lever. The distance from the lever to the support is approx. 48 mm. The petrol pumps of the later models have a curved pump lever. The distance from the lever to the support is approx. 52 mm.
Please note: Only the late fuel pumps with the curved pump lever are fitted to the engine block with a 13 mm thick spacer block; on early models, the fuel pump is screwed directly to the engine block.
