Mini: Rod change type gear box - 1973 on Mini Saloons and Estates and for 1976 on Vans and Pick Ups
This kit enables the rod gearchange housing to be mounted inside the car. A must for any race car or highly modified Mini where not only ground clearance but extra room for the exhaust is required.
All of the parts for the conversion (except the standard gear change housing) are supplied. The gear change rod runs through the top of the tunnel and is then connected by (LH/RH) adjustable universal joints. The kit is also supplied with a shorter length standard ratio gear stick (with the lift for reverse) as the quick stick has too short a throw for this set-up.
