Brake master cylinder
Land Rover: 109" late Series III (from July 1980 to 1985): Dual line braking system
for dual line brake system with servo. Characteristic: comes without square reservoir
Never use an 88¡° master cylinder with a 109¡° brake system. While they may look the same, the 109¡° master cylinder pumps a larger volume of fuid to work two front wheel cylinders at each front wheel.
On 88¡° dual brake systems the front master cylinder outlet powers the front brakes and the rear outlet powers the rear brakes. On 109¡° dual brake systems the front master cylinder outlet powers the rear brakes and the rear outlet powers the front brakes.
