This is the bush in the end of the rear damper lever arm of all models to chassis no. SFE366 (Silver Cloud I) and to B55FA (Bentley S1) and also to all Silver Dawn, Silver Wraith, MkVI and R Type. The internal diameter is 12.7 mm. The bush was modified in 1957 MY by changing the internal diameter to 11.1 mm.
As replacement dampers are usually supplied with a new bush it may be that the damper on your car has a bush which does not tally with your chassis no.
